The competition agenda includes the preliminary round, the trial round, project guidance and proof of concept, and the final.
Preliminary round:
The judges will mark according to the application form filled out by the teams
and have a preliminary sorting and assessment. The projects will be divided
into Class A (cutting-edge and innovative), Class B (with technological
advantages and maturity of implementation and
transformation), and Class C
(not innovative, cutting-edge and mature enough for implementation
for the time being), of which Class A and B projects will enter the trial round.
Trial round: Through roadshow
competitions, an expert panel will mark and nail down the shortlist of the
projects which are cutting-edge, innovative and have the conditions of implementation
to enter the final round.
Project guidance and
proof of concept: Invite investment institutions, interested enterprises and
incubation carriers to conduct in-depth communication and matchmaking with the
projects that passed the trial round, and identify the intention of investment
and results implementation and transformation. Invite Qingshan District government,
co-organizers and incubation carriers to guide relevant projects. Relevant
project management offices (entities) of the Municipal Science and Innovation
Bureau will follow up the whole process, and select projects that meet the
conditions for implementation and
transformation in Wuhan while taking
the conditions for initiating science and technology projects into account.
Final: Conduct an
overall evaluation based on the projects’ innovation, technological advantages,
maturity, institutional investment, incubation park implementation and other
circumstances and nail down the shortlist of two categories of award-winning
projects: Innovation Leadership Award and Innovation Breakthrough Award. The Innovation Leadership Award is granted to projects that have obvious
advantages in technological innovation, meet the requirements for implementation
and transformation, and can lead and boost the industrial development of Wuhan significantly.
The Innovation Breakthrough Award is granted to projects that are innovative
but do not meet the conditions for implementation and transformation yet, and
are still in the stage of technological R&D.
